Travis Allen is running for the California Legislature to enable him to directly impact US policy toward Israel as our most cherished ally in the Middle East, and a bastion of Democracy and Security in an increasingly hostile environment. California also shares a unique economic partnership with the State of Israel, especially with the technology exchange between Silicon Valley and Tel Aviv.
Travis Allen is dedicated to strengthening the US-Israel economic, technological, and military relationship, the divestment and sanctions on Iran and Syria.
PERRY: I was making a comment about a philosophy; I don't think America needs to be in the business of adventurism.
Q: You were making a philosophical comment, but it's hard to understand philosophy without understanding specifics. Where are some of the places where we've seen military adventurism?
PERRY: That was a philosophical statement that Americans don't want to see their young men and women going into foreign countries without a clear reason that American interests are at stake. And they want to see not only a clear entrance; they want to see a clear exit strategy, as well. We should never put our young men and women's lives at risk when American interests are not clearly defined by the president, and that's one of the problems this president is doing today.
CAMPBELL: Let me start with the fundamental commitment to the US relationship with the state of Israel. I've always supported a strong military relationship. And I have never flinched from that strong support.
FIORINA: In 1997 and in 1999, Tom, you offered amendments while you were a Congressman that cut aid to Israel in 1999 you voted to cut aid to Israel. In 1990 you were one of only 34 congressman who voted against Jerusalem being the undivided capital of Israel. And do you still think President Clinton is too pro-Israel as you once said?
CAMPBELL: George Shultz, the Secretary of state to President Ronald Reagan recently said that I was an "unwavering friend of Israel", particularly in the face of this threat from Iran.
FIORINA: I think Tom Campbell's voting record is quite clear and I think he is trying to have it both ways.
