Nick Carter on Technology

Democratic Senate Challenger

I will invest in our future, via education

Q: What policies would you support to ensure that America remains the world leader in innovation?

A: The US must commit itself to furthering the education of our people if we expect to continue to see the economy grow. We must demonstrate our commitment to education through increased funding. Some may suggest that we do not have the funding to accomplish this considering the current state of the nation's economy. I say that we cannot afford to do otherwise. I will invest in our future

Listen to scientists about science instead of ideologues

Q: How do you see science, research, & technology contributing to improved health and quality of life?

A: I don't think there is any area where the impact of science, research & technology has so visibly impacted the lives of our citizens as in health care. The new treatments and pharmaceuticals that have been developed have touched the lives of virtually every single one of us. We need to keep that kind of innovation going. It starts with listening to scientists about science instead of ideologues.
