Repeal car tax by reducing government waste

Q: If you repeal the recent car tax increase, how would you make up the $4 billion in revenue?

UEBERROTH: You have to repeal the tax. It is a tax, it is not a fee. Calling it a tax is a gimmick It still comes out of your pay check. There is enough waste in government. Plenty of waste. We've been on a huge spending binge. 36% increased spending over the last 3 or 4 years, take that money and eliminate the waste. The government cannot deliver the services the way the private sector can.
