No open-ended funding for Iraq but no precipitous withdrawal

A: Like all Americans I want to bring our troops home as soon as possible. That should be a priority and it should be done in a manner that protects the elected government of Iraq from Iranian interference. The Iraqi people must continue their growing role in assuming the defense of their country and manning the front lines. As conditions improve we must return our troops in an orderly fashion that will not destabilize the security of Iraq. While that process may not happen as quickly as I and many others would like, it is something I am committed to seeing happen.
