Choose life, including his own special needs baby

For Tom, being pro-life is about more than just arguing politics. When they were a young couple in 1984, Tom and his wife Debbie found out in the 4th month of pregnancy that their first child would be born with special needs and might not survive. Their doctors suggested they end the pregnancy. Instead, Tom and Debbie changed doctors and chose life, raising their daughter Grace for 11 years before she passed away. They also adopted two children as infants--David now 23 and Isabella, now 16. Tom supports parental notification for minors and a ban on late-term abortions, and he opposes using taxpayer dollars to fund abortion. He also understands that good people can and will disagree on this issue, and will work with people of differing viewpoints to promote a culture that respects life. Source: 2014 N.J.
