Tom believes Social Security is a promise that must be kept to our citizens. Americans who work and pay into the system should receive the benefits they earn and those benefits should keep pace with inflation. Tom will protect Social Security for senior citizens and those nearing retirement; he will preserve the safety net for surviving spouses and children, and those who are disabled and can no longer work; and he will seek bipartisan solutions to strengthen the program for future generations.
