Support D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program

The final report on the D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program was released this week. The Washington Post editorial board said: "These latest findings on school vouchers underscore the value of this program and show how wrong-headed it is to deny future students this opportunity." On March 16 Ron Wyden joined all but three of his fellow Democrats in voting to kill the program. It is another example of Wyden following his party leadership in kowtowing to the teachers unions at the expense of children.

Freedom will only survive through constant vigilance

On this Memorial Day I urge all Americans to honor those who sacrificed years of their lives and suffered personal injury to preserve freedom. Remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that you and I can enjoy living in the greatest country on earth. And never forget that freedom will only survive through constant vigilance. As you spend a pleasant holiday with friends and family, remember those who made it possible.
