McGinty gained a quick official endorsement from Washington, D.C.,-based EMILY's List, an organization that backs female Democratic candidates who support abortion rights. The EMILY's List endorsement comes after the group put Republican incumbent Sen. Pat Toomey "on notice" this week that he's their top Senate target in 2016.
