On Abortion:
Supports embryonic stem cell research, but regulated
Stem cell research holds the promise of ending the suffering of millions of Americans. I do believe that there are moral issues attendant to any consideration of stem cell research policies. Our government should regulate research facilities to ensure
that embryonic stem cells are handled in a dignified, responsible, and ethical manner. However, chronic, and often times fatal conditions such as juvenile diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, and cancer may realistically be cured through this research.

On Gun Control:
Second Amendment is a cornerstone of the Bill of Rights
As a gun owner and a member of the NRA, I believe the Second Amendment and the right to bear arms is a cornerstone of the Bill of Rights. In addition to personal defense, it allows for individuals to be a part of a citizen militia, acting as a check and
balance against a tyrannical government. Any law that threatens the Second Amendment is a treat to our Constitution and our Democracy. Current gun legislation is stringent enough and I will stand up to politicians who want to create stricter gun laws.

On Immigration:
Crack down on the illegal immigration
The US must crackdown on the illegal immigration crisis that threatens our national security, our economy and our way of life. First, we must do whatever it takes to secure our borders. This includes building a wall and installing more surveillance and
new technology along the borders. Next we need stronger enforcement and harsher penalties for companies who hire illegal immigrants. I oppose amnesty for illegal aliens. Only those who obey the law and learn English can enjoy the benefits of citizenship.

On Jobs:
Loss of jobs overseas is serious, long term threat
The loss of jobs to overseas markets is perhaps the most serious, long term threat to this country. I strongly support modifying current free trade agreements to impose restrictions on countries that do not play by the same rules that our own factories
must contend with. Our leaders in Congress should be doing everything in their power to ensure that companies from the likes of China & Mexico comply with fundamental principles like paying a living wage & environmental accountability.

On War & Peace:
Transition Iraq to Special Forces to give faith in democracy
We have deposed an oppressive regime; we have confirmed that there are no WMDs; and we have planted the seeds of democratic reform in Iraq. It is now time to finish the job by tamping down the insurgency, & bring our troops home. As much as I would like
to see all of the troops withdrawn immediately, we simply cannot abandon our efforts in Iraq. We owe it to the law abiding people of Iraq who want freedom and democracy, and we owe it to the thousands of US troops that have sacrificed so much. But this
war cannot and will not be finished under the current policies. Several changes in our current approach to the war are in order:- We need to transition our presence from an occupying force to one consisting primarily of special operations
forces, whose primary mission is to give the Iraqi people faith in the virtues of freedom and democracy.
- I also support building a coalition of nations committed to securing the goals of independence, freedom, and democracy in Iraq.
