Linda Lingle: No gambling: it’s a mythical economic cure

I stand FOR Hawaii’s people and AGAINST gambling. Gambling is known to be a get-rich-quick scheme and a mythical economic cure. It will take local and tourist dollars out of the hands of our families and small businesses and put it into the hands of self-serving politicians and gambling interests.

Stormy Dean: Expand gambling: keep the money in-state

Stormy Dean has been leading the fight for expanded gambling in Nebraska. Dean believes the people should have the right to vote on expanded gambling in November. Dean is sick and tired of seeing money leave our state. Every bordering state - with the exception of Wyoming - has expanded gambling. It has been estimated that $300 million is wagered each year by Nebraskans at the three casinos in Council Bluffs. It’s time we keep that money in our state
