Jerry Brown in Survey of 2010 Gubernatorial campaign websites
On Energy & Oil:
Clean energy investment produces jobs for CA
Investments in clean energy produce two to three times as many jobs per dollar as gas, oil or coal. And dollars invested in clean energy tend to stay in California, instead of going to other states or other countries.
Clean energy jobs and businesses have grown much faster than the economy as a whole in the past fifteen years, and have continued to grow even during the economic downturn.

On Education:
Give school districts more flexibility and hold accountable
We need to dramatically simplify the Education Code and give school districts more flexibility on how best to meet state standards.
We should hold schools accountable for outcomes, not issue minute prescriptions from Sacramento on how to achieve those outcomes.
