Steve Beshear: Record exports to Asia & Europe means we're importing jobs

We're setting records with our exports, and we're importing jobs and investments from countries like Japan, China, Korea, India, France and Germany. Four years ago, the auto industry was in crisis. Last year, Kentucky auto makers produced more than a million cars and light trucks for the first time since 2007.

California's exports are booming and our place in the world economy has never been stronger. Our ties with The People's Republic of China in particular are deep--from the Chinese immigrants crossing the Pacific in 1848 to hosting China's next President in Los Angeles last February. This year we will take another step to strengthen the ties--I will lead a trade and investment mission to China with help from the Bay Area Council and officially open California's new trade and investment office in Shanghai

Rick Snyder: Took 24 attempts to get New International Trade Crossing

Huge infrastructure projects are only beginning. The first one, it's a bridge. We are moving forward with the New International Trade Crossing. We are awaiting on a Presidential permit, but it's a great opportunity. There are no taxpayer dollars involved. A huge accomplishment of something that had been 40 years in the making, this was attempt 24, and success happened. It is known as the Regional Transit Authority for Southeastern Michigan and it was a great effort of people working together

Dave Heineman: Trade mission: Nebraska exports to China grow rapidly

Exports are important to Nebraska, and last summer I led a trade mission to China. We continue to expand and strengthen our relationship with China, just like we have done with Canada, Mexico, Japan and many other countries. During the past few years, Nebraska exports to China have grown rapidly and China is now Nebraska's fourth largest trading partner. The Nebraska-China relationship is just beginning and I am confident this will be a growing and improving relationship for many years to come.
