On Government Reform: Term limits of 12 years for Senate; 6 years for House

U.S. Senate candidate Nancy Mace signed a pledge in favor of term limits. The pledge states: "I, Nancy Mace, pledge that as a member of Congress I will cosponsor and vote for the U.S. Term Limits Amendment of three (3) House terms and two (2) Senate terms and no longer limit."

"Term limits would not only cap the number of years a specific person would serve in Congress, it would limit the power of lobbyists, corporations, and other special interests that invest millions of dollars in the status quo," said Mace.

Mace went on to say, "Today, countless Americans have lost faith in our government. Establishment politicians cannot be trusted. I believe we can fix the mess in Washington, but we need the right tools to make it happen. Term limits are a great place to start, but we also need bold leadership to make it happen."

If elected, Mace plans to serve no more than two terms in the U.S. Senate.

On Health Care: ObamaCare will be the undoing of our American way of life

I believe ObamaCare will inflict serious harm to our economy and the quality of healthcare in America. In addition, the added burden of the individual mandate and the complete disregard for individual liberty tear at the fabric of what it means to be free.

Long term, ObamaCare will be the undoing of our American way of life. I feel very strongly that we must reverse this terrible policy by using every possible tactic at our disposal; defund, repeal, and legal challenges must all be on the table. We cannot allow beltway pollsters to scare us into surrendering on this defining issue of our time.

Graham said yesterday, "To my Republican colleagues: let's embrace reality. We can't delay or defund at this moment." Senator Graham is a long time dealmaker on Capitol Hill. It's time he quit trying to act as if he is fighting for conservative principles, when, the reality is, he's not.

On Foreign Policy: No foreign aid to Egypt & countries who are our enemies

Nancy Mace made a clear statement in reference to the challenges in Egypt and the broader Middle East today. "I would not vote to send one penny of foreign aid to countries like Egypt who are then turning around and using our arms and our aid to kill civilians," stated Mace. "I want to ask South Carolinians what message are we sending to others when we allow our senior senator to support this effort? It is clear, US foreign policy is adrift and morally bankrupt under our current leadership in Washington.

"Our enemies are emboldened and we are not supporting our allies in the world by bankrolling corrupt governments in countries that hate our culture, burn our flag and train terrorists to kill Americans and our allies.

"Sen. Graham has stood side by side with our president to support a failed foreign policy. The American people want to know why we continue to send foreign aid to countries who prove time and time again that they cannot be trusted. It's wrong."
