On Civil Rights: One-man-one-woman marriage existed before our laws

Several GOP candidates tried to outdo one another on who could speak out most strongly against a right to gay marriage. "Marriage as an institution existed before even government itself," declared Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, at the Faith & Freedom Summit, at which nine likely presidential candidates spoke.
