Joe Miller in 2016 AK Senate race

On Abortion: Roe v. Wade is judicial activism at its worst

Q: Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Miller: I believe that every life deserves the protection of the government. Roe v. Wade is an example of judicial activism at its worst, running contrary to the Constitution's clear mandate to protect life. Rare instances may occur where we cannot save both the life of the mother and the child. In such cases, we should save the life we can.

On Principles & Values: I am a limited government constitutionalist

Q: What in the nature of mankind caused America's Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Miller: James Madison articulated best it in Federalist 51: "But what is government itself, but the greatest of all reflections on human nature? If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary."

Q: Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which political philosophy best describes you?

Miller: Conservative

Q: Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

Miller: I am a limited government constitutionalist who believes government exists to protect our liberties, not to take them away. I support free people, free markets, federalism, the constitutional right to life, the 2nd Amendment, religious liberty, American sovereignty, and a strong national defense.

On Principles & Values: We created greatest Republic by looking to God for wisdom

Q: Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Miller: I am a committed Christian who believes that God created people with a free will to make their own decisions regarding what they choose to believe. I recognize that our society was founded by looking to God for wisdom and guidance, which is why we created the greatest Republic the world has ever seen. I will fight those who want to take God out of America's public square.

On Immigration: End Barack Obama's illegal amnesty

The news of Alaska Senator Dan Sullivan's endorsement of Lisa Murkowski's re-election campaign was met with strong condemnation from 2014 rival Joe Miller. "From supporting Planned Parenthood's federally funded abortions, to continuing Barack Obama's illegal amnesty and funding Obamacare, Lisa Murkowski's loyalty lies with DC cronies and political insiders rather than the people of Alaska. Senator Dan Sullivan's endorsement of Lisa Murkowski is a betrayal of everything Alaska conservatives hold dear," continued Miller. "Dan told us he was a conservative. He told us he shared our Tea Party values. He told us he was a fighter who would confront the Obama administration. Now he has endorsed one of Barack Obama and Harry Reid's chief enablers."

Joe Miller concluded: "Dan Sullivan needs to be reminded that we have enough talkers in the Senate. All talk, no action won't cut it. Talk is cheap. Sadly, it appears Dan has abandoned Alaska conservatives for the DC Cartel."

On Principles & Values: OpEd: Murkowski should be challenged by a real conservative

Joe Miller said he is not seriously considering an election challenge to U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski this year, but he has not completely dismissed the idea. Miller was a tea party favorite in 2010 when he upset Murkowski during the Republican Senate primary. Murkowski mounted a write-in campaign to keep her job. Miller ran again in 2014, but he finished behind Dan Sullivan in the GOP primary. Sullivan went on to defeat Democratic Sen. Mark Begich in the general election.

Miller, an attorney and radio show host, said he continues to hear from people who believe Murkowski should be challenged and that he should take her on. Miller believes there's a lot of public support for a run and that's why it remains a consideration. He said Murkowski has little support among conservatives, which he said would make someone like him a formidable challenge for her. But Miller said at this time, there has not been any serious contemplation of a run.

On Abortion: Planned Parenthood: end trade in murdered baby parts

Most of us have heard about the explosive revelations of the backroom butchery of Planned Parenthood. These undercover videos show--in gruesome detail--how Planned Parenthood has actively marketed baby parts to corporations like StemExpress who pay top dollar, depending on how complete the aborted body is and the "freshness" of the pre-born infant's organs.

America now sits in the unenviable position of not only being fully informed of the slaughter of innocents within its borders--closing in on 60,000,000 dead as I write this article--but also now being fully informed of the grotesque, multi-billion dollar industry that has grown up around the buying and selling of babies' corpses and body parts.

Abortion and the trade of fetal parts is morally repugnant and must be stopped. And the multi-billion dollar industry that has grown up around it must be exposed and banned. The future of our nation, our state, and our children--born and unborn--depend on it.

On Civil Rights: Supreme Court voided the majority on same-sex marriage

Left-wing lawyers clothed in black robes have imposed their twisted view of law and morality on the country with breathtaking speed. Americans overwhelming rejected same-sex marriage at the ballot box. Incredibly, federal judges have arrogantly reversed the decisions of voters in most of those states. And now, in Obergefell v. Hodges, the U.S. Supreme Court is poised to void the few remaining pro-traditional marriage laws, nationwide.

Despite the federal judiciary's near full-body embrace of homosexual marriage, such sexual couplings are not equally accepted by ordinary Americans. The elites have a completely different view.

So what can be done? Obviously, there is no court above the U.S. Supreme Court from which discipline may be applied. The only answer for justices who blatantly violate their Code of Conduct, federal law, and their oaths of office is impeachment and removal.
