Tim Neville in 2016 CO Senate race
On Budget & Economy:
Stop robbing from future generations
It's time to stop robbing from future generations. With our nation approaching $19 TRILLION in debt, government must learn to live within its means. I believe that if businesses and families have to cut spending when
they have less money, so should state government. If elected to the U.S. Senate, I will never vote for an unbalanced budget, and will lead the fight to slash federal spending.

On Civil Rights:
Marriage is between one man and one woman only
Defend Marriage: I believe marriage is between one man and one woman only, and I oppose the federal government and Supreme Court forcing any other definition of marriage on the states. My faith is the most important thing in my life.
Unfortunately, across the country there is a war on religious liberty, as Christian-based schools, businesses and non-profit groups are being fined or shut down simply for abiding by their Faith and religious values.

On Energy & Oil:
EPA's war on oil, gas and coal kills jobs
The federal government should not impose energy choices on the states through regulatory force or economic coercion. I believe in an `all of the above` approach. Picking winners and losers and
overregulation ends up raising energy costs, having a negative impact on hard working families, with the hardest hit being the poor. The EPA's war on proven energy sources like oil, gas and coal kills jobs and cripples entire communities.

On Environment:
Scale back economy-crushing EPA regulations
Picking winners and losers and overregulation ends up raising energy costs, having a negative impact on hard working families, with the hardest hit being the poor. The EPA has dumped pollutants into Colorado rivers, and their war on proven energy
sources like oil, gas and coal kills jobs and cripples entire communities. As your U.S. Senator, I will work to scale back the federal government and abolish the out-of-control EPA and repeal its economy-crushing regulations.

On Homeland Security:
Peace through strength: aid our friends & weaken our enemies
National defense is the primary and most important function of our federal government. I support a foreign policy which aides our friends and weakens our enemies. It's time to bring back the Reagan doctrine of `Peace through strength` that does not
draw `red lines` on talk shows and never means it.And if the decision is made to send our troops into battle, we must commit 100% to ensuring they have everything they need to achieve their objective, get the job done and safely return home.

On Homeland Security:
No warrantless search or seizure
Every American should be secure in their right to privacy and security of personal information or property from warrantless search or seizure.
In plain language, get a warrant and follow due process.

On Immigration:
No discussion of reform until border is completely secured
Our border MUST be secured. There can be no discussion of any so-called immigration reform until our border is completely secured. One of the dangerous failures of leadership in D.C. is that our borders STILL go virtually unprotected and our immigration
laws go unenforced. It's time we secure our borders, deport those who are involved in criminal activity, cut off all federal funding to sanctuary cities and end any federal welfare for those who enter the U.S. illegally.

On Principles & Values:
There is a war on religious liberty & Christian schools
Across the country there is a war on religious liberty, as Christian-based schools, businesses and non-profit groups are being fined or shut down simply for abiding by their Faith and religious values. I believe every American--regardless of what
religion--has the right to worship and practice their religious beliefs without fear of fines or imprisonment. If elected to the US Senate, I will oppose all attempts to ban or further infringe upon the Religious Freedoms of the American people.

On War & Peace:
Iranian nuke deal betrays our strong ally Israel
Just recently, Michael Bennet supported an agreement which betrays our strong ally Israel by providing political cover for Iranian mullahs who shout `Death to America`--an agreement which frees up money they can use to terrorize their neighbors
and continue building their nuclear capabilities and ballistic missile systems to deliver death to Israel and perhaps even Europe. I believe this deal is dangerous, and would strongly oppose it if elected to the U.S. Senate.

On Abortion:
OpEd: Parked "crisis pregnancy van" outside the Capitol
A week before the legislative session ended in May, Sen. Neville sponsored legislation to require physicians to tell women extensive--and potentially inaccurate--information about the unborn fetus.
The measure would've forced women to get a medically unnecessary vaginal ultrasound and wait 24-hours before getting an abortion.
In the hours leading up to the vote that ended up failing, Sen. Neville brought a "crisis pregnancy van" to park outside the Capitol.
When Democratic colleagues criticized him for being needlessly divisive, he replied: "I can't pick what's going to be divisive or not."

On Education:
Abstinence-only instead of comprehensive sex-ed
Last session, the senator sponsored the Parents' Bill of Rights--controversial legislation that, had it passed, would have given parents more control of their children's health care and school curricula at the expense of public standards.
Critics feared the bill would further reduce childhood vaccination rates, put a dent in comprehensive sex-ed and deter children from confiding in counselors mandated to report sensitive information to parents.
The Denver Post editorial board called the measure "more manifesto than legislation," but vaccine skeptics and abstinence-only
Christians hailed it as a much-needed safeguard for personal liberty in the public sphere.

On Gun Control:
Constitutional Carry bill: no such thing as concealed permit
Sen. Neville took the latest stab at passing "Constitutional Carry" last session. The bill never became law, but if it had, there would be no-such-thing as a concealed carry permit in Colorado.
People over 21 would just be free to pack a gun wherever they go--schools, parks, grocery stores, wherever.
Neville's gun rights cred well predates his work in the legislature or even his role in the gun-rights motivated recall of 2013.
He's long had the favor of the Rocky Mountain Gun Owners--a group that bills itself as "Colorado's only no-compromise gun rights organization."
