On Crime: Whistleblowers perform a public service; Snowden is a hero

A whistleblower is a criminal to the people he blows the whistle on. Snowden blew the whistle on the government. Naturally, the government is going to label him a criminal. I do believe all whistleblowers perform a public service. If you work for the government, and you see the government violating the Constitution and Bill of Rights -- or even violating its own laws -- it's imperative to blow the whistle. Snowden is a hero. On War & Peace: Withdraw our military from the Middle East

The Libertarian party has selected a presidential ticket headed by former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson. Johnson's latest is that he said he will work with Congress to withdraw our military from the Middle East. That's my position completely and I couldn't be happier over it. I hope that the people of this country will wake up and listen to Gov. Johnson. Vote for him, so that we can start implementing new policies, and pull out of the Middle East. On Principles & Values: Presidents have to lie: don't think I could do it

I know for a fact today, that if you're gonna lead this country, and I've said this before, you would have to be dishonest in one form or another. This is the reason why I believe that I couldn't be president. I don't think I could go on television and lie to the citizens of this country. I firmly believe that to be the president of the United States, you have to lie to some extent. And I don't think I could do it.
