Darrell Castle: Withdraw from the United Nations

I believe that the United States (U.S.) should regain its sovereignty and chart its own course. This is not isolationism. The US cannot remain isolated from the forces agitating today's world, which is so interrelated.

Many people, including many in our own government, would love to see American nationhood fade into history. They fear not only the power of America, but also the ideas that still make us the most powerful nation on earth. Those ideas serve as a contradiction to the way the rest of the world operates, and would serve us even more if we were once again an independent nation.

The ideas of America are not compatible with membership in the United Nations. The UN is world headquarters for the church of unbelieving humanism. The fundamental doctrine of the U.N. is that the world should be a global collective, redistributing shares of material prosperity to every human on earth. That is a religious and not a political idea. Faith in God is replaced by faith in Humanity.

Evan McMullin: American leadership instead of withdrawing from the world

Withdrawing from the world makes us less safe, not more. Without American leadership, the cause of liberty at home and abroad suffers, global instability increases and threats to the homeland multiply. America should foster the values of respect for human rights, national sovereignty and strong alliances that make the world more prosperous and stable.

Ted Cruz: Countries aspire to be like America, the exceptional nation

The United States of America is the exceptional nation, the nation other countries aspire to be like. We should stand as a shining beacon of what free people enjoying a free market & system of government can achieve. But while our intentions towards the rest of the world are peaceful, that does not mean we have no enemies, and the fact of the matter is our enemies are on the march.

Two terms of the disastrous Obama-Clinton foreign policy have had one useful effect: we now know what the world starts to look like without America. The next president will have to start on day one rebuilding what they have tried to tear down. A truly conservative foreign policy would have three simple principles:

  1. To preserve our country we need to exert leadership on the global stage, not withdraw from it.
  2. We need to fiercely defend our allies and interests.
  3. And we need to judge each challenge through the simple test of what is best for America. Because what is best for America is best for the world.

Gloria La Riva: Immediate lifting of the U.S. blockade on Cuba

The Party for Socialism and Liberation and all true friends of Cuba demand the immediate lifting of the U.S. blockade for completely different reasons than those advanced by Clinton and the U.S. ruling class.

For more than 55 years, Cuba's people have been subjected to a crushing policy of blockade to force them to submit to U.S. dictates. Denying a whole people medicines, food and the necessities of life and thwarting commerce and trade internationally-is a genocidal policy. U.S. imperialism has created a massive arsenal of economic and political weapons that comprise what is more accurately called "Blockade."

"Embargo" does not begin to describe what Washington heaped on Cuba, causing $1.2 trillion in economic damages.

In all these years, Cuba never surrendered. Despite the harsh blows caused by the U.S. financial, commercial and trade blockade, Cuba has survived precisely because of socialism and the overwhelming support of the people.

Martin O`Malley: New foreign policy of engagement and collaboration

We must construct a New National Security Strategy and build new alliances that are forward-seeing and forward-acting.

The center of this new strategy must be the reduction of threats. Fast-evolving threats--from violent extremism, pandemic, cyber attacks, nuclear proliferation, nation-state failures, to the drought, famine, and floods of climate change.

Together, we must craft a New Foreign Policy of Engagement and Collaboration. We must join with like-minded people around the world--especially with nations here in our own hemisphere--for the cause we share of a rising global middle class.

We must put our national interest first, we must put America first.

Rand Paul: Stand with Israel Act: no US funds to Palestinian Authority

Israeli cafes and buses are bombed, towns are victimized by hundreds of rockets, and its citizens are attacked by Palestinian terrorists. It's time we took a stand for Israel by standing up to the enemies of Israel, the enemies that murder Israeli citizens.

That's why I proposed a bill called the "Stand with Israel Act" to cut off the flow of U.S. taxpayer dollars to the Palestinian Authority. As long as the Palestinian Authority is allied with Hamas not one more tax dollar should flow to them.
