Survey of 2016 Presidential campaign websites: on Gun Control
John Kasich:
Supports state reciprocity and concealed carry
Gov. John R. Kasich continues to be a strong supporter of the right to bear arms and, as governor, has signed every pro-2nd amendment bill that has crossed his desk to defend this basic, constitutional right.- Kasich is a gun-owner himself, and in
his 2014 reelection was endorsed by the NRA for his support of the Second Amendment as an inviolate part of our Constitution.
- Removing Burdensome Restrictions for Law-Abiding Concealed Carry Licensees: Kasich enacted legislation protecting
Ohio's concealed carry laws, including allowing for reciprocity licenses with other states where permit holders can carry their firearms.
- Opposing Obama's Gun Control Efforts: John Kasich opposes President Obama's gun control executive orders.
His efforts to expand the federal government's interference with Americans' Right to Keep and Bear Arms are wrong and the governor opposes them.

Darrell Castle:
People in gun free enclaves cower, unarmed
There are reasons why attacks usually occur in gun free zones and not at NRA conventions. People in gun free enclaves are not only unarmed they have a cower in fear and hope he spares me mindset. No one rushes the shooter while he is changing magazines;
they just wait to die. The surveillance state and a disarmed people are the government's answer but that is not the correct answer. Disarmed people are defeated people just as a defeated army stacks its arms in front of the victors. Armed people are
free people because they have the means of resistance in their hands. The American colonists were threatened with disarmament by the British and they rose to rebellion. Defense of one's self and family is everyone's responsibility. The government cannot
and will not do it for you.
The all knowing, all powerful State, which of course is run totally by good people wants a disarmed, defeated people under surveillance every second of every day with every penny earned and every penny spent all recorded.

Evan McMullin:
Fundamental right is enshrined in the Second Amendment
Americans' fundamental right to protect our families and communities is enshrined in the Second Amendment. The acts of criminals, terrorists and the mentally ill require serious and consistent national efforts
to combat them, and we can and must address those challenges without ever compromising the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens.

Rand Paul:
Oppose laws which would limit the right to gun ownership
As President, I vow to uphold our entire Bill of Rights, but specifically our right to bear arms. I will not support any proposed gun control law which would limit the right to gun ownership by those who are responsible, law-abiding citizens.
In the White House, I will remain vigilant in the fight against infringements on our Second Amendment rights.
