2018 House MI elections: on Principles & Values

Debbie Dingell: Voted for impeachment because of danger to national security

This was one of the hardest votes and one of the most important votes I'll cast in my career, however long it may be. It was about protecting our national security. I did not come out for this impeachment last summer because I was worried about the division in this country but it became very clear there was a danger to our national security. There was a danger to our democracy and that's why we are aware of what's happening and have to protect it as we go into this next year's election.

Brenda Jones: Stand up for constituents when not getting their fair share

Q: Tell the voters why they should vote for you.

Jones: They can trust me to represent them with honor and dignity. To stand up for them when they are not getting their fair share and to remove obstacles that get in the way of their success. We don't hear enough about the amazing people that live in the 13th. To move forward, we all need to work together. Making a difference in the quality of people's lives is what I want to do for the people of the 13th District.
