Survey of 2018 House campaign websites: on Corporations

Kendra Horn: Raise corporate taxes to pay for needed infrastructure

We need a comprehensive infrastructure plan. Kendra supports fixing our crumbling roads and bridges, and corporations who stash money overseas to avoid taxes should pay for it. Most politicians think infrastructure ends at roads and bridges, but our economy and our families depend on things like our electric grid, internet access and clean water, among other things. We need an infrastructure plan built for the 21st Century and beyond, not the 19th Century.

Deb Haaland: A society where all get an equal shot starts with tax reform

I believe in a fair society, where hardworking New Mexicans all have an equal shot to reach their full potential, and where corporations, millionaires, and billionaires all pay their fair share in taxes. We need a financial transaction tax along with a complete repeal and replacement of the GOP tax scam, and the reinstatement of a estate tax. We need to return taxes for the wealthy and corporations to post-WWII levels and also ensure that we tax wealth generation, not just wage-labor income.

Ayanna Pressley: No one on Wall Street is bigger than the law

Ayanna will fight to pass a new Glass-Steagall Act to separate commercial banking services and investment banking, so that no banks are too big to fail, and she will push for new legislation that creates tougher sentences for fraud and negligence among banking executives who jeopardize the retirement and savings of hard-working Americans, sending a clear message that no one on Wall Street is above the law.
