John Rose: Radical Islamic terrorism is real; supports travel ban

Defending our nation against terrorism and foreign nuclear threats is paramount. It is time we recognize that radical Islamic terrorism is real. These terrorists hate America and want to bring harm to our country when possible. We must be aware of the threat of terrorists entering our country with intent to build support for their anti-American cause. I support the President in his temporary travel ban on the countries that present the greatest threat to our security.

Tim Burchett: We need to destroy our enemies so they don't destroy us

Tim believes in putting American security first. We should never allow international organizations, like the United Nations, to bully the United States into policies that threaten our security or that of our friends and allies. There is no room for error when combating the rise in global terrorism. We need to destroy our enemies so they don't have a chance to destroy us. Tim supports the dissolution of President Obama's dangerous Iran deal and the return of economic sanctions.

Anthony Gonzalez: Make China pay for costs of global pandemic

From the outset of the global pandemic, China has lied about the origins and characteristics of this virus. As a result of their deceit, the entire world has been forced to suffer while decimating the economy and leaving untold millions across the country and the world fighting for their economic lives. Their behavior cannot go unpunished. Just as in a civil case, China must pay back those whom they have so gravely injured.

Anthony Gonzalez: Defeat radical Islamic extremism wherever it exists

Our military leaders must always have the vital resources they need to win any conflict. That includes land, air, sea, and cyber capabilities that keep all Americans safe. The progress made to defeat ISIS has been truly remarkable. Our work is not done though. We need to defeat radical Islamic extremism wherever it exists, and discredit the ideology that allows it to flourish

Anthony Gonzalez: Support veterans with health care & mental health treatment

I will support all efforts to expand opportunities for our veterans to receive healthcare inside and outside of the VA system. Today, veterans are 22% more likely to commit suicide or suffer from mental illness. I will support continued efforts to expand mental health treatment options to our great veterans. I will work to expand educational opportunities for veterans to ensure they are well-equipped to thrive in our economy once they transition into civilian life.

John Joyce: Greatest way to achieve peace is through strength

For too long our previous Commander-in-Chief was content with seeing our military weakened and our standing in the world deteriorate. That time is over. I am glad we now have a President who knows the greatest way to achieve peace is through strength and the value of a strong military. As a Congressman, I will be a strong advocate for our military and protect our installations. I will not rest until those in uniform are paid a salary commensurate with their service.

Mikie Sherrill: North Korea: support robust military presence in region

We should engage in diplomacy with North Korea but approach the situation with clear eyes. North Korea has broken promises to denuclearize in the past, and unless we extract real concessions, their nuclear program presents a threat. I support a robust military presence in the region and a comprehensive missile defense program to defend America, our allies, and our troops abroad.

Haley Stevens: I will stand alongside Israel against the BDS movement

I will stand alongside Israel against the BDS movement [Palestinian-led "Boycott, Divestment, & Sanction"], which seeks to undermine Israel's economy and legitimacy. The BDS movement is a deeply biased campaign, which only targets Israel, and not any other nation. Its main goal is to delegitimize Israel's existence and inflame tensions, which undermines the prospects for peace. I look forward to supporting legislative efforts in Congress that push back against the BDS movement.

Haley Stevens: I have no illusions about Iran as a destructive force

I have no illusions about the destructive force that Iran continues to be in the international community. Whatever one thought of the Iran deal the US is no longer a part of it and we must chart a way forward. That way forward must prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon and also deal with terrorism, rockets, and regional destabilization. Diplomacy must be the first option and is the best solution but all options must remain on the table.

Dan McCready: Mission & strategy needed before going to war

America hasn't had a national security strategy for 15 years, not when Dan was in Iraq, not under any of the last three presidents. When we send our troops to war, we owe them and the taxpayers a clear mission. We should do so with overwhelming firepower, accomplish the mission, and get out. But politicians deploy our troops sporadically, with no strategy or end in sight, while our enemies like Iran, North Korea, Russia, and the terrorists outsmart and outlast us.

David Trone: Strong advocate for our valued ally, the State of Israel

I am a strong supporter of the State of Israel, the only liberal democracy in the Middle East. Israel is our most important ally in the region, and its safety and security are critical to the interests of the US. I will place a very high priority on deepening ties with Israel because our nations share common values and unwavering commitment to democracy and freedom. In a region consumed by volatility and intractable conflict, Israel remains firmly anchored in freedom and justice.

Deb Haaland: Supports diplomacy over violence; force must be last resort

The GOP's violence-first foreign policy makes us less safe. Violence creates violence, and I believe the use of force should always be a last resort in America's foreign policy. The Iran Deal has proven that diplomacy works, and I will work hard to ensure that America embraces diplomacy over violence at all turns.
