Allen Waters in 2018 MA Senate race
On Homeland Security:
Congress needs to act on the shameful treatment of veterans
There are few things more shameful in America than the sorry state of Veterans Affairs from the waste, fraud and abuse, to the seemingly never ending news of poor treatment of the men and women who have served us in the Armed Forces.
America belongs to the people, and it is time for our elected politicians in Congress to do the business of the people and clean up the swamp of poorly managed government departments like VA.

On Tax Reform:
Advocate of FairTax system, pay taxes only on what you buy
Press release: "Allen R. Waters, Senate candidate challenging Elizabeth Warren, signs the FairTax Pledge.""Why is it that both Republicans and Democrats in the Bay State recognize that when we tax products like cigarettes to discourage people from
engaging in that behavior, the same is true with productivity?" states Waters. ÿ"The more we tax what people earn, the more we discourage them from being productive members of our community," Waters continued.
The Federal government and Beacon Hill does not have a revenue problem, they have a spending problem," stated Waters.
The Fair Tax is a consumption tax whereby citizens pay only upon the purchase of new goods and services.
Recognizing that our income is our reward for the work and risks we take to improve our lives, our families, and those people businesses employ; taxing such effort is truly counterproductive. ÿ

On Education:
No free college, no government loans
I don't advocate free tuition which shifts the burden to taxpayers. I believe that free market forces can get colleges and universities to align their pricing with the ability of students and families to pay.
When government mixes in the free market, such as helping students with government backed loans, it creates market distortions. One of the ways to reduce rising college costs is to phase out government backed lending, leaving it to the private sector.

On Education:
More choice, more charter schools
That's why I am an advocate for school choice like public charter schools, when traditional public schools fail the youth at the most critical time of their lives.
In some Massachusetts communities, too often urban, but not always, local public schools are not doing well, under performing their peers, statewide.

On Families & Children:
Believes in traditional American values
He is fiscally responsible, socially conscious, believes in traditional American Values, follows the Constitution, and is a strong advocate for ordinary Americans like himself.
A middle class, Cape Cod family man with blue-collar roots, Allen defines himself as a "People's Candidate."

On Foreign Policy:
Supports Israel and settler movement
I am pro-Israel and strongly condemn the United Nations Security Council vote against Israel's settlement construction in the West Bank.
Elizabeth Warren supported the UN Security Vote, and therefore does not stand with our strongest, and perhaps our only real ally in the region.

On Gun Control:
Opposes strengthening gun laws
I am a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment,
private gun ownership, and enforcing existing laws.

On Abortion:
Conservative on abortion rights
Waters identified himself as a conservative Democrat from Mashpee and said he is running for the Republican nomination to combat "50 years of liberal failure on poverty" and to "protect our American culture."
He explained he is conservative on many issues, including gun rights (he said he had his gun license in his pocket), abortion, and the idea of "sanctuary cities."

On Corporations:
Free enterprise with lower taxes is the key
Working people aren't progressing like they used to. Another reason I am running is America has also failed the poor, generations of people stuck at the lowest rungs, and too many middle class people sliding right down the pole with them.
I believe free and fair enterprise with less regulation, lower, simpler taxes, and less top heavy crony capitalism, is the key to help repair the failure on poverty and progress.

On Drugs:
Demand for drugs by whites is putting more blacks in jail
Allen Waters, who is running as an independent, says demand for drugs by whites leads to incarceration of blacks. "White doctors overprescribing. White junkies over-desiring. White lawman testifying. Black dealers a'lying. Cycle no denying," Waters
posted on his Twitter feed in reaction to a time story about the raids. Referring to the Tweet as a "ditty," Waters said he was drawing attention to the incarceration of blacks, even here in Cape Cod, that is driven by white demand for drugs.
