Wagner: Yes. Parents should have choice of where to send child.

Wolf: No. Oppose any program that diverts state funding away from public schools.

Scott Wagner (R): No. Earlier suggested heat from human bodies & planet moving closer to the sun were causes of global warming. Recently acknowledged human impact.

Tom Wolf (D): Yes. "The science of climate change is settled. Reduce Pennsylvania's carbon emissions. by promoting a cleaner energy mix."

Q: Support government limits on greenhouse gases? Support participation in US Climate Alliance, a coalition of states committed to climate change action.

Scott Wagner (R): No. Opposes regulatory overregulation. Government should also pare down regulations on natural gas drilling industry.

Tom Wolf (D): Supports limiting greenhouse gases, but hasn't joined Climate Alliance. Says PA is on target to exceed the Paris climate agreement without joining the Alliance.

Scott Wagner (R): No. Does not support subsidizing renewables or clean energy. Need to let market decide.

Tom Wolf (D): Yes. Has supported loans & grants for solar energy. Also financing mechanism for low-cost funding for energy efficiency, renewable energy, & water conservation upgrades to commercial properties.

Q: Support severance tax on oil & gas extraction?

Scott Wagner (R): No. Would drive drillers to other states.

Tom Wolf (D): Yes. Only gas-producing state that doesn't have this kind of tax, though drillers do pay comparable impact fee. Would raise $250 million in first year.

Wagner: Yes. Will incentivize people to work & get healthcare from their employers.

Wolf: No. Vetoed a work requirement bill.

"You know what's amazing is that a guy [George Soros] who came from Hungary, a Hungarian Jew, and made a fortune, and think where he came from, and he has an opinion of America that he does," Wagner said. Religious leaders are calling on state Sen. Scott Wagner, a Republican candidate for governor, to apologize for recently calling Holocaust survivor and wealthy businessman George Soros "a Hungarian Jew." Wagner then questions how Soros could fund liberal causes considering how he was persecuted in his old country and found success when he immigrated to the United States. Soros must hate America if he is against the free-market system that made him wealthy, Wagner says in the video.

A long-stalled bill that would offer workplace and other protections to Pennsylvania's LGBT citizens could finally be getting a jump start this week--from the unlikeliest of all places: A committee chaired by Sen. Scott Wagner. Wagner said he's willing to work with those who have concerns about the bill. But "what we should not do, is completely abandon all efforts to gain fairness for the LGBT community," he wrote.
