On Education: Help college students refinance loans

To make college more affordable for students and working families, we froze University of Wisconsin tuition for all undergraduates from our state for six years in a row. We're partnering with financial institutions to help graduates refinance student loans. And financial assistance for students in need is at an all-time high, making higher education possible for thousands of students at colleges and universities across the state.

On Health Care: State control of health insurance program, not federal

For our senior citizens, most receive their health care through Medicare. While that is a federal and not a state program, we can provide certainty and stability for those who depend on SeniorCare. I am officially seeking a permanent waiver for the State of Wisconsin to provide SeniorCare. Since it was first approved in 2002, the state has asked for an extension of SeniorCare four times. It is time to make this a permanent and stable program.

On Principles & Values: Pray for Kentucky, that we will be blessed

I want you to know that I pray for you. I pray earnestly for you. I pray individually for you. I pray for you as a group. I pray for the people of Kentucky. I pray for the Commonwealth that we will be blessed, that we will be preserved from so much that has potential to harm us. I'm a person who believes in the power of prayer, and I want each and every one of you to know that I pray for you.
