2018 WA Senate race: on Immigration

Susan Hutchison: Build border wall and block illegal entry

U.S. Immigration is broken. Our laws are some of the weakest in the world and to make matters worse, the Democrats aggressively oppose enforcing them. I WILL support a humane immigration system that promotes LEGAL entry and blocks ILLEGAL entry. I WILL support a border wall in every effective form: physical, electronic and law enforcement. As our country generously welcomes one million new legal immigrants every year, my hope is that all will fulfill their American Dream.˙

Dave Strider: All illegal immigrants since genocide of Native Americans

Q: Do you support or oppose the statement, "Pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens"?

A: Since the settling of the "New World" we have been the illegals. Making a law does not make it right when genocide was committed. There is˙a path-way and if you want to know more call me, 253-238-1771

Mike Luke: Discourage illegals by stopping welfare benefits

Although America has grown with the addition of immigration, we must be pragmatic and it must be for our nation's gain. We cannot continue to import welfare recipients˙but undocumented individuals have rights in addition˙to due process under our Constitution while in America. I don't wish to engage in a massive manhunt for illegals but we must cease encouraging them with the rewards of the welfare state and other accommodations that trespassers are not entitled to.
