Kelly Loeffler: Supported moving US Embassy to Jerusalem

Loeffler backed Trump's decision to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, writing in a position paper that she will "continue to advocate for it remaining there." She also made clear that she was in favor of Trump's Middle East peace proposal. She did not explicitly lean one way or the other regarding the potential annexation of portions of the West Bank.

Matt Lieberman: Strong supporter of Israel & two-state solution

Lieberman is a strong supporter of Israel and the US-Israel alliance, a critic of the Palestinian Authority, and a strong detractor of the Iran deal. "The two-state solution is still a goal to have to try to pursue. It's been difficult to pursue primarily because the good faith and true intentions of the other parties has come into serious question." When asked which parties he was referring to, Lieberman said, "Specifically, the Palestinians, the Palestinian Authority."

On foreign policy, Lieberman expressed concern that Trump had "completely sold out" the Kurds, whom he described as a "reliable [and] heroic ally of the United States under difficult circumstances." In his view, "we should be sticking by our allies." Lieberman went on to "extend that thought to the issue of our alliance with Israel and one of the concerns it's fair to have when it comes to this president is that no one really knows where he is going to be tomorrow and that's problematic."

As a registered ZTE lobbyist, Joe Lieberman has played a behind-the-scenes role in the company's efforts in Washington. Matt Lieberman promises there is a wall between his father's ZTE work and his campaign advisory role. "If I am fortunate enough to be trusted with this Senate seat by the people of Georgia, I will, of course, abide stringently by all Senate ethics rules," he said. "If there's ever a gray area, I will err on the side of propriety."
