Shane Hazel: No government funding for renewable energy

Q: Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)?

A: No.

Q: Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?

A: No. The government being the largest polluters on earth should never have been allowed any control over the environment. Control over land and their environments should be decentralized to the states and the people where it belongs.

Ted Terry: Commitment to 100% clean energy transition

We made a commitment to 100% clean energy transition. Our goal is to do over several hundred energy-efficient retrofits for low income and fixed income units that are aging. Basically, upgrade the buildings to be as energy efficient as possible. I love the Green New Deal for its energy and public housing plan. If you just improve the housing stock by making utility bills more affordable, you make housing more affordable and we reduce our carbon emissions.

Ted Terry: Climate change is personal because I'm 36, will be around

Terry said that addressing environmental issues is one of the reasons he got involved in politics.

"I'm 36 years old, the threat of climate change and global warming over the next 50 years is a real threat to me," Terry said. "Because I'll be alive, I'll be around these next 50 years and have to deal with it..."
