Shane Hazel in 2020 GA Senate race

On Civil Rights: Let gay couples defend pot farms with machine guns

Q: What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

A: Gay married couples should be able to defend their cannabis farms with fully automatic weapons. To ensure safety in America we should disarm the government. Their track record is abysmal. The US federal government is run by thieves & murderers and they are the last people that should be armed or have security.

On Drugs: End wars, including the drug war

Q: In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

A: I will introduce legislation to end the wars including the drug wars as my priority. I will also introduce legislation to end the fed. I will also introduce legislation to kill as many unconstitutional bureaucracies as I possibly can. And lastly I will introduce legislation to abolish compulsory government indoctrination camps so that our children may receive the best education that exist. I will also introduce criminal justice reform to include ending the drug war, ending qualified immunity, ending mandatory minimums, freeing all the non-violent criminals and ending prison for profit.

On Education: Never pay for college loans; they chose to take on debt

Q: Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

A: The people that should be paying off loans are the people who took out the loans. There are many people that made a responsible financial decision not to go to college. Those responsible people should never have to pay for those people who decided for themselves to take on the debt.

On Principles & Values: Individual right to beliefs, including spreading Gospel

Q: Do you promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles?

A: Yes.

Q: What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

A: It means each individual has a right to their beliefs, their life, liberty and property, as long as they are hurting nobody. And while we're separating the state from our private lives we should also separate the state from education and the market.

On Social Security: Taxation is theft; Social Security is a giant Ponzi scheme

Q: How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

A: Unfortunately Social Security and Medicare were lies, a giant Ponzi scheme. There is no money in either. Entire generations were forced or coerced into paying the government to invest in their future, we must end that lie now. America is broke. America is $26 trillion in debt. It's time people were free to invest in their own future in line with their conscience. America will default on their debt. And the banks will eat that debt that they perpetuated. There isn't a fair solution. But in the end the right solution is to free people and further generations from the slavery of death in taxes. #TaxationIsTheft.

On War & Peace: Our policy should be that of non-intervention

Q: What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

A: America's foreign policy should be that of non-intervention. Our intervention in places like Iran in 1952 under operation Ajax has changed our relationship with the entire Middle East for over 70 years. We are now dealing with blowback. The greatest threat to this nation are the 545 members of our own government and bureaucracy that is never held accountable. We should remove our military from 150 countries around the world. We should open up trade and remove government from private interactions around the world. We are goods and services cross borders tanks in armies do not. We should be advocating for peace thru liberty.

On Budget & Economy: Government has no Constitutional authority for stimulus

Q: Before a vaccine becomes widely available, should Americans be afforded another stimulus check? If so, for how much and who should be eligible to receive it?

A: For the Constitution there is zero power for the federal government to stimulate the economy through the issue of debt and Fiat currency."

On Crime: Release all non-violent offenders; end drug war

Q: Do you think America and Georgia still struggle with systemic racism? What safeguards, if any, should be enacted to ensure people of color are not disproportionately afflicted by law enforcement, the criminal justice system, income inequality, and other factors?

A: Here is how we fix the broken criminal justice system:

On Health Care: Have state and fed remove themselves from healthcare

Q: What can be done to fix healthcare problems?

A: First of all, get all the federal bureaucracy out of the way. Next, Georgians will have to demand the state removes themselves from the healthcare market. Then, we allow the free market and free people to work on these problems without force and coercion. We are bureaucrats and politicians [and] pick the winners and losers where the stakes are life and death. Lastly, we promote charity. So the needy receive care through the consent of the giving

On Abortion: Government has helped execute over 70 million babies

Q: Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?

A: Pro-life. Federal Government has helped execute over 70 million babies. We would save more babies if we decentralized the power to the states. I will support decentralized power in the case of infanticide.

On Energy & Oil: No government funding for renewable energy

Q: Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)?

A: No.

Q: Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?

A: No. The government being the largest polluters on earth should never have been allowed any control over the environment. Control over land and their environments should be decentralized to the states and the people where it belongs.

On Free Trade: Remove barriers to international trade

Q: Do you generally support removing barriers to international trade (for example: tariffs, quotas, etc.)?

A: Yes. Free people do not ask permission to trade with others. Nor do they pay for that right.

On Government Reform: No regulation of indirect campaign contributions

Q: Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?

A: No. If you have money, give it to your neighbors and local businesses. I have contended for this approach in 2020 because it's the right thing to do, and it ensures I will never be bought for a vote.

    A:
  1. Oppose all Spending & Tax Increases, Abolish the IRS and replace with one single consumption based tax, Defund Planned Parenthood, Repeal not replace Obamacare and Audit the Fed.
  2. Stop the welfare magnet that incentivizes illegal immigration, secure the border and always put the Constitution first.
  3. Abolish the VA and have the DOD pick up the cost where Veterans can choose the healthcare they want in the private sector.

On Immigration: Shut off the welfare magnet; have troops patrol border

Hazel believes that ending welfare will stop illegal immigrants from coming to the U.S., and ending foreign wars would free up U.S. troops to patrol our Southern border.

"Shut off the welfare magnet. Period. No illegals get welfare from the United States. That will start pushing them back right there," he said, eliciting applause. "We can bring our troops home and secure the southern border really quick."
