2020s gubernatorial press release: on Civil Rights

Hilary Franz: Trails for all: no matter who they love, how they identify

Commissioner Franz said, "I'm committed to ensuring all recreationists, no matter who they love or how they identify, feel welcome and have a safe experience on our trails and at our campgrounds." Washington State Human Resources has already installed gender-affirming restroom signs outside multi-stall restrooms in their building. Gender-affirming signs are those that recognize that a person's gender expression and gender identity may align and may fall outside the binary gender options.

Curtis Hill: Newsom picked senator on favored identity, not on the merits

However, what we see with liberal politicians is not progress. They are virtue signaling by appointing officials based solely on favored identity and not the merits of their character and qualifications. Gov. Newsom is doing an injustice to the constituents who elected him to be a governor for all. With millions of Californians to choose from, he is selecting a replacement for the recently vacant U.S. Senate seat who does not even live in the state in favor of her race, gender and sexuality.

Brian King: We deserve better than anti-DEI and anti-LGBTQ+ laws

Gubernatorial candidate and State Representative, Brian S. King, released the following statement on Governor Cox signing anti-DEI and anti-LGBTQ+ legislation into law:

"Extreme, divisive, and unnecessary legislation. Is this who we are? Is this who we want to be? Is this the legacy we want to leave? I've said it before and I'll say it again: you deserve better."
