Survey of 2020 House campaign websites: on Energy & Oil

August Pfluger: Secure energy independence with U.S. oil and gas

I'm proud to support the hard-working oil and gas producers that keep our Texas economy strong. In Washington, I'll fight back against the oil-hating liberals and work to secure total energy independence for our country.

Bob Good: Green New Deal and Paris Climate Accord kill jobs

Energy independence is vital to our national security, as we no longer depend upon foreign or even hostile nations for our energy needs. Radical policies like the Green New Deal and agreements like the Paris Climate Accord are job-killing, economy-destroying initiatives. These proposals would not only tremendously weaken the United States economically, but would also threaten our national security and how we live our daily lives.

Greg Pence: All-of-the-above approach to energy; yes to bio-fuels

Greg Pence signed on as a co-sponsor to the Biodiesel Tax Credit Extension Act of 2021, legislation that seeks to incentivize biodiesel innovation. "I am pleased to sign legislation that supports an 'all the above' not an 'everything but' approach to energy production. My constituents are one of my greatest priorities, and that means fighting for legislation that creates good-paying Hoosier jobs, strengthens our economy and work towards our nation becoming energy independent."

Michelle Fischbach: Reduce greenhouse gas and expand renewable energy use

Nicole worked to advance state measures to ensure clean air and water and to combat beach erosion. Following Superstorm Sandy, Nicole helped prevent residential development in sensitive area wetlands, and supported a new law requiring state agencies to consider future climate risk due to rising sea levels and storm flooding. Nicole voted to establish goals for New York to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and expand the use of renewable energy.

Nancy Mace: Advocates complete ban on off-shore drilling

The first piece of legislation I filed as a state lawmaker was an anti-offshore drilling measure. Preserving our land is a top issue for me. South Carolina needs a voice that can work side by side with the current administration in building consensus among members of both political parties. We will never ban offshore drilling at the federal level if we do not have someone who can lead on this issue in a bipartisan manner. Oil drilling and seismic testing have no place on our coastline.

Thomas Kean Jr.: Fund offshore wind energy development

Protecting the Environment is a Priority: Protecting the environment has always been a passion for Tom Kean. He began his career in public service working at the Environmental Protection Agency, where he met his wife Rhonda. He has built a reputation as an advocate for clean energy and open space in the New Jersey state legislature. He has sponsored funding for offshore wind energy development and passed laws that ensure open space and conservation are well-funded. As a prime sponsor of the Global Warming Response Act in 2007, he has long understood the urgent nature of climate change. As your Congressman, Tom will be an ardent defender of the environment.
