Jake LaTurner in 2020 KS Senatorial race

On Abortion: Innocent unborn children are among our most vulnerable

We must not give up on protecting life. In 2013 we passed a bill banning the practice of sex-selective abortion. In 2016 we passed a common sense measure that required abortionists to provide women with information about the procedure. And on April 7, 2015 [we] signed the bill successfully. I truly believe a society should be judged by how it treats the most vulnerable amongst it. Women in crisis and their innocent, unborn children truly are among our most vulnerable.

On Gun Control: A+ rating from NRA for passage of Constitutional Carry

Born and raised in Galena, Jake is a 6th-generation Kansan. Faith in God, the importance of family, love of country and the dignity of work are just some of the values he learned at a young age. Jake and his wife have worked to pass these same values on to their four children.

Jake was twice elected to the State Senate, serving from 2013-2017. Seen as an innovator and champion of conservative reform, he has an A+ rating from the NRA for leading the successful passage of Constitutional Carry.

On Immigration: Protect our country; build the wall

Our freedoms and values are under assault. As your US Senator, I pledge:

Protect Our Country, Build the Wall: The safety and security of our nation will be among my top priorities and our men and women in uniform will have my total support. Like President Reagan, I support a "Peace Through Strength" approach to national defense. Protecting American interests abroad and at our borders are critical to a free and prosperous society.

On Tax Reform: Balance the budget; no tax Increases

Washington has failed Kansas for too long. Conservatives are fed up with politicians only worrying about keeping power, while our freedoms and values are under assault. As your US Senator, I pledge:

Balance the Budget, No Tax Increases: $21 trillion in Federal debt and counting. Politicians in DC have been talking about this for years and it's only getting worse. I will not vote for a budget without a plan to reduce our debt. The Trump tax-cuts are working and rates sh

On Welfare & Poverty: Work requirements and drug testing for welfare recipients

Washington has failed Kansas for too long. Conservatives are fed up with politicians only worrying about keeping power, while our freedoms and values are under assault. I pledge:

Fight for Work Requirements and Drug Testing for Welfare Recipients: Welfare has robbed many individuals of the dignity that comes with hard work. Those who fall on hard times deserve a hand up, not a hand out. I will be at the forefront of this fight in the US Senate, just like I was here in Kansas.
