2020 NJ Senatorial race: on War & Peace

Hirsh Singh: We must stop radical Islamic terrorism, with military

Q: What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

A: We must stop radical Islamic terrorism. We must ensure the US always has the strongest most powerful military in the world. Public schools should more thoroughly be teaching American values of the US Constitution including liberty and life to help assimilate individuals that want to be American. The American Dream has the ability to take the teeth out of radical Islamic terror but we need to unshackle our economy so that it can thrive for each and every one of us. Barriers to economic success might be a cause. Abroad, US Military assets should identify bad actors that are inciting violent propaganda against the US and Western values. Potential threats should be identified that interact with these bad actors and this information should be provided to US Border Security & Customs officials. Any threat should be barred entry to the US with the ability to appeal in a publicly available forum.

Rik Mehta: Bring our troops home when it's not our war

Freedom is never free. It's never wrong for the President to bring American troops home and reunite them with their families. Countries that have a closer geographic interest to war-torn regions, such as Syria and the Middle East, must pull their own weight and work to maintain peace. We must bring our troops home when it's not our war. These brave men and women have sacrificed everything to protect our nation, and we owe it to them to take care of them when they exit active duty.
