Ben Sasse in 2020s senatorial press release

On Government Reform: Push back against overly strict, dumb regulations

Sasse reintroduced the Transporting Livestock Across America Safely Act. "Agriculture drives Nebraska, and nobody works harder to ensure the safety and well-being of livestock than the Nebraskans who hustle day in and day out," said Sasse. "Overly strict regulations are hurting our ranchers and our haulers. My legislation pushes back against those dumb regulations and works to promote safe transportation. This is good, reasonable, common-sense, bipartisan legislation--and it should pass."

On War & Peace: US military can bring Iranian "butchers" to their knees

Sasse, a member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, issued the following statement regarding Iran. "The Trump Administration is right to be making it very clear to Iran that these provocations don't lead anywhere good. General Soleimani is an evil bastard, but he's not an idiot. He knows the U.S. military is able to bring his IRGC butchers to their knees if Americans are targeted. He should rethink his recent provocative moves."
