On Foreign Policy: Recognize Jerusalem as capital of Israel

Sen. Lindsey Graham ripped the United Nations, dubbing the global body as weak and increasingly anti-semitic. "I don't mind the United Nations expressing displeasure with American foreign policy decisions through a non-binding vote of the General Assembly," Graham said in a tweet referring to a UN resolution condemning U.S. recognition of Jerusalem as the Israeli capital. We will deal with these issues in 2018," he continued.

Graham's comments come one day after 128 nations, including some of the U.S.'s most loyal allies, voted in favor of a resolution condemning President Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. The senator has often been critical of the UN in the past.

On Homeland Security: Soviet-style parade of military hardware shows weakness

President Trump's proposed military parade could cost as much as $30 million, budget director Mick Mulvaney said: "I've seen various different cost estimates of between $10 million and $30 million depending on the size of the parade." Trump has proposed a military parade multiple times during his presidency.

Democrats have joined with some GOP lawmakers to speak out against the parade, with many saying it could come off as "totalitarian" and would evoke demonstrations in North Korea and Russia.

Some have said a parade would be a waste of money, and that more should be invested into services like mental health care for veterans instead.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said he would be in favor of a parade that honors military personnel, but that a "Soviet-style" demonstration of military hardware would show "weakness."
