2020 Vice Presidential prospects: on Corporations

Catherine Cortez Masto: Introduces bill to encourage diversity on corporate boards

Cortez Masto introduced the Diversity in Corporate Leadership Act of 2020 so that corporate boards reflect our nation's diversity. "For too long, corporate America has failed to make sure the voices of women and communities of color are represented in boardrooms, and the time for change is now," said Cortez Masto. "During Women's History Month, I'm proud to introduce legislation that will help level the playing field in executive suites by increasing transparency and promoting board diversity."

Sally Yates: Individuals can be held liable for corporate crimes

Lathan & Watkins: Client Alert Commentary: The policy was laid out in a memorandum authored by Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates (Yates Memo). The general tone of the Yates Memo, along with recent public statements by government officials, reflects a noticeably aggressive stance regarding the pursuit of individual charges in white collar enforcement actions.
