On Budget & Economy:
Lower property taxes, grow the economy
New Jersey's property taxes are the highest in the nation and our state is ranked the worst place to do business. Jack Ciattarelli's top priorities are making

On Budget & Economy:
Pandemic restaurant restrictions devastated the economy
Ciattarelli has criticized Murphy's handling of the pandemic, saying that his administration's policies cost lives in nursing homes, that the state botched the vaccine rollout, and that Murphy's restrictions on restaurants devastated the economy.
He also said Murphy has failed New Jerseyans by focusing on progressive goals like marijuana legalization instead of the state's long-standing fiscal problems.

On Civil Rights:
Prohibits discrimination & harassment among campaign
Ciattarelli will announce a campaign policy prohibiting discrimination, harassment, and retaliation to be overseen by former-State Senator Diane Allen (R-7). "Putting this policy in place was a no-brainer and appointing Senator Allen as the
compliance officer underscores the level of seriousness with which I am treating this," said Ciattarelli. "I am committed to running a professional operation--and government--in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity."

On Corporations:
Adopt Delaware's bylaws; cut corporate tax rate in half
[On corporate taxes]: "I can [turn the economy around] with some very significant reforms to our tax code," said Ciattarelli. "Delaware has the most attractive bylaws for corporate
governance. I think New Jersey should adopt Delaware's bylaws. I think we should cut our corporate tax rate, which is the highest in the nation, in half."

On Drugs:
Drug epidemic should remain a priority
The meeting was broadcast on Facebook Live. A reader asked Ciattarelli where the drug epidemic placed among his priorities. "(Gov. Christie) has made it a priority and it should remain a priority for the next governor,''
Ciattarelli replied. "There is a crisis. People are dying every single day.''

On Education:
Re-balance over-funded vs/ under-funded school districts
The assemblyman from Somerset County vows to rebalance statewide school funding. The current cutting of the money pie is "blatantly unfair, terribly flawed,'' he says. Ciattarelli says he'll push to reduce excess aid in the most overfunded
school districts by 20 percent per year over 5 years, with the savings re-directed to the most severely underfunded school districts.

On Education:
Don't mandate college vaccination until others vaccinated
[On COVID vaccinations]: "Governor Murphy should discourage our public and private colleges and universities from mandating vaccinations for all students,"
he continued. "At the very least, he should do so until such time as the state can guarantee that every single New Jerseyan in higher-risk categories has immediate access to a vaccine should they choose to get one."

On Education:
We're going to roll back the LGBTQ curriculum; goes too far
Ciattarelli is vowing to roll back school curricula that centers LGTBQ inclusivity, falsely claiming that "sexual orientation" is being taught to kindergarteners and sixth graders are learning "sodomy." "You won't have to deal with it when
I'm governor, but we're not teaching gender ID and sexual orientation to kindergarteners. We're not teaching sodomy in sixth grade. And we're going to roll back the LGBTQ curriculum. It goes too far."

On Education:
Reconfigure state school funding to where it's needed today
Wants to make changes to the state's school funding formula. He calls for "reweighing cost-per-student spending targets ...
so the distribution aligns with need today, not the 1980s." He also wants to reduce excess aid to overfunded schools districts and redistribute the money to underfunded schools.

On Energy & Oil:
Should accelerate use of natural gas, not phase it out
Calling for the complete phase-out affordable natural gas--which heats about 75% of New Jersey homes--is a disaster. Like other 'green new deal' proposals, the Governor's plan isn't based on any thorough economic analysis. We are in a period
of unprecedented natural gas exploration and extraction, leading our nation to true energy independence. We should be accelerating our energy evolution towards natural gas, not away from it, while leveraging zero-emissions nuclear power along the way.

On Government Reform:
Call for Constitutional Convention and referendums
I will call for a Constitutional Convention. Our 1947 state constitution doesn't address what's broken in New Jersey. And we can no longer afford to let the courts decide. We need a new constitution that addresses today's realities.
State school funding and affordable housing are two perfect examples. If I don't have the cooperation of the legislature, I will push for Initiative & Referendum (I&R). Let's empower citizens to make the changes we desperately need.

On Government Reform:
Don't bring California's "insane regulations" to New Jersey
[On tax-and-spend policies]: "What does Murphy think he's playing at?" Singh asks New Jersey's voters. "Look at the abject poverty brought about by California's insane regulations, their out-of-control taxation on every little thing.
These policies crush the average American, and Phil Murphy wants to bring it to New Jersey? That is not okay."

On Health Care:
COVID: Against requiring showing proof of vaccination
Ciattarelli came out forcefully against not only vaccine passports, but also Rutgers' decision to require students get the coronavirus vaccine if they want to return to campus this fall. "The idea that Americans would be forced to
carry around a personal health record to attend a ballgame, see a concert, or go out to dinner is simply wrong," said Ciatterelli in a Facebook post. "Governor Murphy is wrong for even having considered it."

On Health Care:
Would veto ending religious exemptions for vaccinations
Public school students in New Jersey are required to be vaccinated against illnesses like measles, mumps, polio, and chickenpox--though the state does allow parents to opt out for religious reasons. A Democratic-sponsored bill to remove that
religious exemption failed twice to pass.Ciattarelli said he would veto that bill if he's elected and it came to his desk. He also said he would expand the rules to include a "philosophical exemption" to required school vaccinations.

On Principles & Values:
Don't make New Jersey the California of the East Coast
On values: "Phil Murphy doesn't get it. Maybe it's because he's not from New Jersey. Maybe it's because he doesn't understand New Jersey,"
Ciattarelli said. "But the bottom line is this: He's not New Jersey." He attacked Murphy's progressive policies would eventually bankrupt the state. "I don't want to be the California of the East Coast," Ciattarelli said.

On Tax Reform:
School funding formula is root of property tax growth
During his 2017 GOP primary campaign for governor, in which he proposed a comprehensive property tax reform plan. Unlike other property tax relief plans of candidates down through the years, which merely involved sleight of hand increases in state taxes
to finance cash rebates, Ciattarelli went to the heart of the matter by proposing extensive revision of the state education funding formula, the root cause of our escalating property taxes.

On Tax Reform:
Top priorities: lower property tax, reform state tax code
Ciattarelli said he would call for a constitutional convention to update how public education and affordable housing are funded. And if he does not get along with the Legislature--which has been led by Democrats for two decades--
Ciattarelli said, he would push for referendums to let voters decide key issues. His top priorities would be lowering property taxes, reforming the state's tax code, rolling back "burdensome" regulations, limiting waste and streamlining government.

Ciattarelli's "Contract with New Jersey Republicans" promises to: ESTABLISH A NEW JERSEY REPUBLICAN BRAND that offers concrete solutions to lower taxes, cut spending, reduce debt, create jobs, provide
educational choice, make healthcare more affordable, and protect individual freedoms, while expanding our party to reflect the diversity of our state. Under my leadership, we will proudly be the Party of Lincoln in every way and compete for every vote.
