Ron DeSantis: Create Resilient Florida program to deal with flooding

I am also proposing the creation of the Resilient Florida program under the Department of Environmental protection. Through this initiative, Florida will invest $1 billion into projects that help our communities adapt to the threats posed by flooding from intensified storms and sea level rise. I am encouraged by similar proposals from the legislature to address this important issue for our communities, and I look forward to signing into law a program that will make a difference.

Gretchen Whitmer: It's time to rebuild Michigan's water infrastructure

I know you're used to me saying "fix the damn roads." This year, let's also fix the damn road ahead--find common ground to grow our economy and get families and businesses back on their feet.

We've kept moving forward on water infrastructure. Last year, I announced the MI Clean Water plan, a $500 million investment in Michigan's water infrastructure. Direct dollars to communities for safe, clean water to residents. And it supports over 7,500 Michigan jobs. It's time for the legislature to pass these bills so we can start rebuilding Michigan's water infrastructure. I will keep working so every family in Michigan has clean, safe water.

John Carney: $50 million investment in new Clean Water Trust Fund

We'll again propose a $50 million investment in a new Clean Water Trust Fund. We will make sure that all Delaware families have access to clean drinking water. And we will place a special focus on those hard-to-serve communities across our state. Delaware's constitution and our oaths of office call on us to protect these natural resources for future generations.

Michelle Lujan-Grisham: State recovered over $1 million from corporate polluters

Last year, we gave $75,000 to the state Office of Natural Resources Trustee, which was underfunded and indeed forgotten about for many, many years. In return, that small state office has already recovered more than a million dollars from corporations responsible for harming New Mexico communities and our environment, a 15-fold return on investment. And, with the help of tribal partners, those dollars will be going straight into communities that have suffered from contamination and pollution.

Eric Holcomb: Investing in community trails, planting a million new trees

We're re-starting our $90 million state investment in community trails in every corner of the state to move us toward an even more interconnected system. Moreover, Indiana has more than four times the timberland acreage than we did 100 years ago, and we're adding to that by planting one million new trees--natural scrubbers--at or near our parks over the next five years.
