Mike Rounds in ABC This Week interviews for 2022 races
On Crime:
Let Justice Dept. and courts decide on Trump, not Congress
Every single individual in the United States is subject to the court systems. What happens with a president is that he has the shield of office, which, in many cases, prohibits or limits the ability of the courts to address issues surrounding that.
I think this is an issue which the courts can decide. And, most certainly, if there's evidence there, this is going to be up to the Justice Department to bring it forward and to move with it.

On Foreign Policy:
Make clear to Putin that solution is diplomacy, not invasion
We have to make it very clear to Mr. Putin that his antics around Ukraine are unacceptable. If additional sanctions have to be imposed to send that message, that would be appropriate. Nord Stream 2 is one example of a place where we could do that now.
The president has the authority to do so. I think sending a message to Mr. Putin that he's going to get a lot more accomplished using diplomatic means, rather than threatening to invade, is something that we should be very, very firm about.

On Government Reform:
2020 election was fair; we simply did not win the presidency
Q: What do you say to Republicans who believe the election was stolen?ROUNDS: While there were some irregularities, there were none of the irregularities which would have risen to the point where they would have changed the vote outcome in a single
state. The election was fair, as fair as we have seen. We simply did not win the election, as Republicans, for the presidency. And moving forward we have to refocus once again on what it's going to take to win the presidency.
