2022 AL Senate race: on Government Reform

Katie Britt: Fight senseless federal regulations, overreach and red tape

I will be an unwavering champion of farmers, cattlemen and everyone in the forestry sector as the Senator FOR Alabama. I will fight senseless federal regulations, overreach and red tape and stand up for family farmers. Our farmers have been conserving Alabama's land for generations, and they don't need federal bureaucrats telling them how to earn their livelihood.

Lynda Blanchard: Election reform bill is a socialist wish list

Absentee balloting invites corruption, cheating, and fraud, so it should be allowed only in rare and unavoidable cases. Lynda Blanchard: DC statehood & Court-packing are power grabs

Mo Brooks: Democrats stole election: pretty much it for our country

[On election integrity]: "This is pretty much it for our country," Brooks said in a December podcast interview that has not been previously reported. "In my judgment, it rivals the election of 1860," he added, referring to the election of Abraham Lincoln, "and we saw what ensued from that"--meaning the Civil War. Brooks was outspoken in baselessly accusing Democrats of "stealing" the presidential election and seeking ways to keep Donald Trump in power.

Terri Sewell: Voting Rights Act protects voices of the minority

Sewell said, "I remind my colleagues on the right that the Voting Rights Act was about protecting minority rights."

"And while right now many communities of color are in the minority," she noted, "[t]he browning of America is very real. The majority may become the minority, and that's what the Voting Rights Act was about--protecting the voices of those that are in the minority."
