Mike Durant: Held as POW in Somalia when his Blackhawk was shot down

On October 3rd, 1993, during combat in Mogadishu Somalia, "Super Six Four," the Blackhawk helicopter flown by Mike Durant, was hit by an RPG and crashed in the city. Mike Durant somehow survived, was captured and held as a POW by Somali General Mohamed Farrah Aidid.

Mike has seen sacrifice--fellow service members who put honor, country, and mission above all else. He knows firsthand that the United States leaves no one behind.

Mike Durant: Should have declared victory in Afghanistan

Mike Durant was disgusted by Biden's exit from Afghanistan. He believes that we should have declared victory in Afghanistan years ago, and then helped the Afghan government transition to a stable regime that did not need U.S. troop involvement, but rather protected our geopolitical interests in the region.
