2022 AR Senate race: on Jobs

Natalie James: Supports living wage starting with $15-an-hour minimum

Q: What is the most pressing issue facing your constituents and how would you address it?

A: A living wage that will help them thrive and not simply survive. Health care worries mixed with a 21st-century education and broadband access for our future. I would support legislation to increase our living wages to start federally at $15-an-hour along with those already at the minimum receiving raises to compensate for the current value.

John Boozman: Pushed 16-hour trucker day; withdrew "sweatshop on wheels"

Boozman made a misstep in 2005 by sponsoring and then withdrawing a bill to increase the maximum workday for truckers to 16 hours--A move sought by Wal-Mart but that was lambasted as a "sweat shop on wheels" that would have jeopardized safety. He also backed the controversial 2008 bill to rescue the U.S. financial system--an issue that tea party supporters used against some Republican incumbents in GOP primaries.
