2022 AZ Senate race: on Immigration

Jim Lamon: United States should not accept Afghan refugees

The United States should not accept Afghan refugees, including translators and others who helped the American military during the 20-year war, Lamon said, staking out a hardline stance against a group of immigrants that has had widespread support from both parties. "They should go to countries that are friendly to them and us," Lamon said. "We cannot continue to be the world's refugee camp."

Jim Lamon: Rescind all Chinese Visas, end birthright citizenship

I will work to achieve three major objectives in the US Senate regarding Border Control:
  1. Stop the inflow of illegal immigrants:
  2. Resolve the issue of illegal residents:
  3. Stop the importation of "allies of convenience" with promises of citizenship, like the chaotic Afghan evacuation.

Justin Olson: Finish the wall; verify immigration status for jobs

It is absolutely inhumane that the Biden administration is enticing illegal immigrants to put themselves, and, worse yet, their young children, in harm's way to take advantage of Biden's open border policies. Justin Olson has a multi-part plan to secure our borders. It includes finishing the wall, properly equipping the U.S. Border Patrol, requiring all U.S. employers to verify immigration status with E-Verify, and enacting employer sanctions for those that do not comply.

Mick McGuire: No border, no security; No security, no country

Secure The Border: Border security must be our top priority. We have to finish building the wall and provide resources to states in support of our border patrol to stop illegal crossings and the flood of drugs over the border. No border, no security. No security, no country. It's that simple. I will always fight for the resources to keep our nation safe.

Blake Masters: Drugs and crime are just pouring over the border

Masters wasted little time framing Mark Kelly as a rubber stamp for President Joe Biden and did it in blunt language. "Our border is in chaos, we've got drugs and illegal aliens just pouring in, crime is up, the cost of groceries. Actually, the cost of everything you need to live keeps going up and up," Masters said.

"It wasn't like this two years ago. What changed? Joe Biden took over, and in Washington, Mark Kelly backs Joe Biden every single time, without thinking twice, without thinking of Arizona."

At one point during an exchange on migrants and drug trafficking at Arizona's border with Mexico--which all candidates agree is unacceptable--Masters suggested Kelly is the "worst senator of all time" and should resign.
