Justin Olson in 2022 AZ Senate race
On Abortion:
100% Pro-Life voting record, defunded Planned Parenthood
Justin Olson has a 100% Pro-Life voting record. His successful legislation defunded Planned Parenthood in Arizona.
As a father, Justin understands the sanctity of life and will always vote to protect the most vulnerable among us.

On Budget & Economy:
Decrease the size, scope and reach of the federal government
I am running for the Senate to decrease the size, scope and reach of the federal government. I am deeply concerned about the direction the Democrats are leading our country. Spending in DC is out of control; and yet,
Mark Kelly and the Biden Administration are supporting a new $3.5 trillion spending bill. This is the largest expansion of the socialist state since the Great Society.

On Crime:
Strong supporter of law enforcement professionals
Justin is a strong supporter of our country's law enforcement professionals. While the radical left cries to defund the police,
Justin will firmly back the blue so our police officers can continue to keep our communities safe.

On Education:
Critical race theory is harmful divisive ideology
Mark Kelly voted to allow critical race theory to be taught in our schools. This is a divisive indoctrination that is offensive to Martin Luther King's dream.
Instead of working to build bridges that heal the wounds of the past and unite all communities, this harmful ideology divides and destroys. It has no place in our schools.

On Education:
Support parents using tax dollars for private schools
Empowerment Scholarship Accounts allow parents to take tax money that would otherwise go directly to their local public schools and put it toward private-school tuition. Olson and Sen. Debbie Lesko say the successes of disabled students using
ESAs are the motivation for expanding it to all public schoolchildren. All public-school parents should have the flexibility to choose schools, programs and tutors best tailored to their kids' needs, they said.

On Energy & Oil:
Opposed boosting renewable energy as too costly
Arizona's utility regulators have rejected new rules that would have drastically boosted the use of renewable energy for the second time in a year, drawing sharp reaction from clean energy advocates who said the decision leaves the state far behind what
is needed to address climate change. Olson said he opposed the new rules because they could cost ratepayers at the state's two largest utilities more than $5 billion, pointing to a report prepared for the commission.

On Energy & Oil:
Enact policies that don't negatively affect the economy
[Asked about climate change], Olson acknowledged the existence of a global climate crisis. When asked if humans contribute to the changing climate,
Olson said it was a question for scientists to answer. Policymakers, he said, should focus on enacting policies that don't negatively affect the economy.

On Free Trade:
Teach the importance of free markets and capitalism
In 2018, I was elected to statewide office, where I currently fight to protect Arizonans' hard earned resources and to advance free markets. In addition to my public service,
I worked as the CFO for Turning Point USA, the leading conservative organization educating students about the importance of fiscal responsibility, free markets, and capitalism.

On Government Reform:
Support election integrity reforms like voter ID
To protect the sanctity of our elections, Justin Olson will support election integrity reforms that make it easy to vote and hard to cheat. Commonsense reforms like voter ID requirements for every ballot cast are overwhelmingly supported by the
American people. These reforms build confidence in the outcome of elections and protect this vital constitutional right.

On Government Reform:
I voted for election integrity, ban ballot harvesting
When I was in the state Legislature, I voted for election integrity. I voted to ban ballot harvesting. We've got to put in place some enforcement mechanisms to stop that from happening because we did see significant anomalies occur both in the
2018 and the 2020 elections and we've got to investigate all of those anomalies so that we can be confident that every vote that was cast was cast by a legitimate voter.

On Health Care:
No COVID vaccine mandate for state regulated utilities
Workers at state-regulated utilities in Arizona can't be fired for refusing to be vaccinated for COVID-19, according to a policy a state commission adopted this month. The policy was proposed by Republican commissioners Justin Olson and
Jim O'Connor and supported by Chairwoman Lea Marquez Peterson. Olson said the federal mandate is "100% unconstitutional" and the commission has clear authority to regulate the utilities' workplaces.

On Immigration:
Finish the wall; verify immigration status for jobs
It is absolutely inhumane that the Biden administration is enticing illegal immigrants to put themselves, and, worse yet, their young children, in harm's way to take advantage of Biden's open border policies. Justin Olson has a multi-part plan to secure
our borders. It includes finishing the wall, properly equipping the U.S. Border Patrol, requiring all U.S. employers to verify immigration status with E-Verify, and enacting employer sanctions for those that do not comply.

On Principles & Values:
Committed to confirming conservative justices
While radical Democrats like Mark Kelly and Joe Biden seek to appoint activist judges to legislate from the bench,
Justin is committed to confirming conservative justices to our legal system to defend our constitutional rights and interpret our laws as they are written.

On Principles & Values:
My faith is critical to me and a big part of who I am
[The moderator asked] "How is your faith going to guide you?""My faith is critical to me and a big part of who I am," replied state Rep. Justin Olson, R-Mesa, who is Mormon. "If there is anything that I think is the wrong policy, and somebody is
encouraging me to support the wrong policy for wrong reasons, then I will stand up to that pressure." Olson said laws need to be strengthened to allow people to petition courts for relief from government regulations based on deeply held beliefs.

On Tax Reform:
We need fiscal responsibility, lower taxes, economic growth
Olson outlined why he thinks he's the man for the job. "Arizona needs a senator that represents Arizona values," he said. "We need a senator who is going to
be an unwavering voice for fiscal responsibility, for lower taxes, for economic growth," he said.
