Senator Annette Taddeo has been a fighter all her life. She's had to be. As the daughter of an American WWII fighter pilot who gave her that true fighting spirit--She was taught to always believe and never give up! As a little girl and a teenager, Annette underwent 19 major surgeries to correct a cleft lip. Brian Moore: Keep God out of the public sphere

Q: Do you support or oppose the statement, "Keep God in the public sphere"?

A: I strongly oppose the merging of religion with government.ÿ As a practicing Catholic, and a former seminary student for five years in a Catholic Order (Franciscan) I strongly believe there should be a clear and definite separation of church and state.ÿ Plus, we should respect the rights of all citizens in our country to have freedom of religion, whether Christian, Mormon, Muslim, Jewish,ÿ

"We can build a state that gives power back to you," Fried said in the video. "Listen, this won't be easy. Those in power will do whatever harm it takes to stay there. Nikki Fried: We've got to learn again how to respect one another

Fried called on Gov. Ron DeSantis to "tone down the rhetoric" as school board members shared stories of the increasing hostility they've faced since the controversy over mandatory student masks erupted at the top levels of state government. "We all need to go back to the Torah and the Bible, you know, love thy neighbor," Fried said. "We've got to learn again how to respect one another and be able to have a dialogue that doesn't escalate into tension and anger and yelling and violent threats."

Ron DeSantis: Compels schools to have moment of silence for prayer

DeSantis visited a Jewish temple to denounce anti-Semitism and stand with Israel, as the governor cloaked himself in religion while signing a bill into law that would require public schools in his state to set aside at least one minute of silence for children to meditate or pray. [It] makes Florida one of at least 15 states that would compel schools to hold moments of silence at public schools. The state had already been among roughly 18 other states that gave schools the option to do so.
