Axne wrote to leaders of the House and four committee chairs to urge inclusion of investments and incentives for the biofuels sector in the House's infrastructure proposal. On Families & Children: Make changes to Child Tax Credit permanent

Axne is co-sponsoring legislation to keep changes made to the Child Tax Credit (CTC) in the American Rescue Plan and make additional improvements to support millions of working families with children struggling to make ends meet. The American Family Act would make the changes in the American Rescue Plan permanent as well as index the credits to inflation.

[On VA Healthcare]:"Veterans should be able to receive the care they need regardless of their zip code," said Rep. Axne. "We must take action to address rural health shortages, and the mental health needs of our nations' veterans." The Sgt. Ketchum Rural Veterans' Mental Health Act, introduced by Rep. Axne, establishes new Rural Access Network for Growth Enhancement (RANGE) programs through the VA and supports additional research on rural veteran mental health care needs.

On Jobs: Co-sponsored National Apprenticeship Act to expand programs

Axne joined a bipartisan majority to advance the National Apprenticeship Act of 2021 to the Senate, a measure that she co-sponsored. The Act invests more than $3.5 billion over the next five years to expand apprenticeship opportunities, including creating a new $400 billion grant program to support the expansion of apprenticeship programs, pre-apprenticeships, and youth apprenticeship programs.
