On Crime: Youngest homicide detective in Chicago's history

O'Halleran represents Arizona's 2nd Congressional District, which encompasses much of the northeastern part of the state outside Phoenix and Tucson. Tom joined the Chicago Police Department at 20 years old, where he served as a police officer and a homicide detective--the youngest in the city's history. He was dedicated to ensuring justice for the most vulnerable communities and won over 30 awards for his service. Upon retirement, Tom and his wife moved to Arizona where he became an advocate for his community and was elected to three terms as a state representative followed by a term as a state senator.
