2022 IA Governor's race: on Energy & Oil

Cindy Axne: Biofuels should be part of clean energy economy

Axne wrote to leaders of the House and four committee chairs to urge inclusion of investments and incentives for the biofuels sector in the House's infrastructure proposal. "Biofuels can and should be a part of the clean energy economy--and that starts with including it in our infrastructure bill," said Rep. Axne. "I've heard it directly from the farmers and producers that I represent: our biofuels sector is ready and able to be a part of clean energy solutions."

Deidre DeJear: Protect environment while creating renewable energy jobs

Iowa has always been a place of fruitful soil and fields of opportunity. With the very pressing threat of climate change affecting our world, Iowa must move forward as a leader with an environmental justice plan that centers on protecting our rural communities, communities of color, communities with disabilities, our children and the sick. Protecting our waterways while creating good paying renewable energy jobs will enhance our lives and further strengthen our economy.
