access to guns and outlaw all kinds of future pandemic measures. None of those bills became law in a heavily Democratic General Assembly. The legislature would also be expected to block his attempts to implement such laws if he wins in November.

Filed suit against high school transgender accommodation
A federal lawsuit that was filed in response to a Maryland school system's policy regarding transgender students has been dismissed. Cox said he was working on behalf of a 15-year-old girl at Frederick County High
School. "The purpose of her suit was to protect her own privacy and the rights of girls to not have to undress in front of the opposite sex in their own bathrooms," he said. "Her personal dignity is at the forefront of our interests."

His website highlights a few examples of him defending that right, including a 2020 clip of him at a Maryland General Assembly hearing explaining his stance against House Bill 910, which would prohibit Marylanders from manufacturing,
possessing, selling, and purchasing certain firearms like ghost guns. Cox said that the founders of America built the guns that were used to win the Revolutionary War, and that serial numbers on guns don't stop criminals from committing crimes.

Organized buses to StopTheSteal January 6 rally
Cox has been a particularly aggressive denier of the 2020 results. Cox co-organized buses to Trump's January 6, 2021, rally in Washington, writing on Twitter that he was doing so to "#StoptheSteal" (a "steal" that didn't occur). During the insurrection
at the US Capitol that day, as the mob raged against the vice president who had no power to thwart the certification of Biden's win, Cox tweeted: "Pence is a traitor." The month prior, Cox had called on Trump to seize voting machines.
In a speech in late 2021, which was previously reported by The New York Times, Cox said that Trump was "the only president that I recognize right now" and falsely said Biden wasn't elected but "installed, in my opinion."
In a post on Facebook this June, Cox referred to the 2020 election as a "GREAT HEIST."
The Cox campaign did not respond to a request for comment.
