Chris Van Hollen: Proud to have supported the bipartisan infrastructure bill

Chris was proud to join President Biden at the White House on November 15th for the signing of the bipartisan Infrastructure modernization bill, which contains many provisions that he championed for our state. Those include over $7 billion over the next five years to modernize Maryland's roads, bridges, tunnels, and transit systems--and funds that will help modernize AMTRAK and make changes that will cut the rail travel time between Washington D.C. and Baltimore to thirty minutes.

Colin Byrd: Criticized lack of stimulus checks in COVID relief package

Byrd takes issue with several federal actions in the first months of President Joe Biden's administration, including the lack of $2,000 stimulus checks in the coronavirus relief package--a promise Biden and senators previously made. This is the top reason he is running, Byrd said. "To me that is unacceptable," he said. "And I think that it puts the Senate at risk."
